It says World Rat Day. after 4 hours I looked down at it to find it says April 4. Thats today! From my late wife and I, Have a great World Rat Day! To the world you are one person. Well, there's always next year to look forward to, and the hamsters can have lots of treats in the meantime. Photos of hamsters celebrating this year's Hamster Day are on that same website. 05 Apr 04 - 08:45 AM (#1154775) Subject: RE: BS: Happy World Rat Day From: Shanghaiceltic Stanley's a rat and a fast one at that From bulkhead to bulkhead in four seconds flat He's come and he's gone 'fore an eyelid could bat But he'd do it much faster if we had a cat. One flashing run and his visit is done Stan never lingers to join in the fun Our hospitality he'd rather shun But he'd stay a bit longer if we had a gun. I raises my cap to this beady-eyed chap Who needs no compass and carries no map And don't know what it means to get in a flap But we'd bloomin' soon show him if we had a trap. When does he doze? Well, nobody knows Night and day he keeps on his toes I don't suppose his eyes ever close But he'd sleep for ever and ever and ever if we had a high pressure hose. 05 Apr 04 - 09:08 AM (#1154787) Subject: RE: BS: Happy World Rat Day From: GUEST,Tracey Dragonsfriend (no cookie here) Aha! That explains why the commission I just got for a pyrographed rat on a cheeseboard ( www.scorchpyro.co.uk for pyrography stuff) had to be delivered by yesterday! I did wonder, especially as it wasn't for a birthday, but it had to be by that exact date, and it was with a rat, not the more usual mouse. Now I know! I guess the lady didn't fancy explaining that there was such a thing as Rat Day... |

06 Apr 04 - 03:47 AM (#1155433) Subject: RE: BS: Happy World Rat Day From: NobleSavage Happy Rat Day from the White Rats Morris of San Francisco. We will soon be infesting the other side of the pond--that's right, we can be seen, spoken to and otherwise appreciated in the all-too-real-flesh at our friend Graham Taylor's (of Alton Morris, Hook Eagle Morris and, I'm sure, others I don't know about) 60th birthday party event. We'll be in Romsey on the 22th of April. If we survive the weekend, we'll be in Rochester the following weekend. This could be your chance to see if our reputation is really deserved. . . BTW--I'm just the accordian player. (as if that wasn't enough. . . ) |
