It will be a mixed session....singing and instruments. Its a cosy pub and serves a decent pint. The content of a session is always defined by the performers actually there irregardless of whether it's supposed to be Irish trad, English Country, French, come-all-ye or whatever. I, for one, will be there and hope to play a few tunes. I mostly play Irish but will happily play along with other styles to fit in with others. Just suck it and see... |

Originally the stoppages should have finished at the end of March, but I gather the the work is now being extended to August at least. Ah well another night when we'll have to drive all the way to Dartford Bridge (and the same distance back the other side - an extra 17 miles) - and pay a quid for the priviledge. |

I think I was wearing a pheasant, but on that shirt (bought in Whitby for Jim Mageean's Wednesday session in the Endeavour) it's hard to tell! Mrs Duck - Sorcha explained that the pheasant is the emblem of her home town, and she'd brought a bagful of pheasant lapel badges, which she distributed to all Catters present (preasant?). We all then dutifully recited "I'm not the pheasant plucker....." I guess if Kendall has an emblem it's a walrus? (If in doubt, consult Chambers.) Kitty |
