Welcome, Grady--and I hope you enjoy your mud cat experience!
You will find a great community here, mostly helpful
and well-informed and generous with time and information.
But, beware of trolls ! Some here do not always have good
intentions and seem to get their jollies from replying with
negative comments, and un-necessary rants.
Do not feel the trolls!
There is a lot to discover about this site. One thing is the
ability to create an "html" coded link (blue clicky=blicky)
by using the make a link clicky below this text box. This
turns your URL www.soundclick.com/gradymusick into website URL this if you
just follow the easy instructions & cut & paste. This makes
it easy for those reading the post to go to the referral site.
The chat room is liable to have activity any time of day or night,
as this international group spans all time zones.
Also, on thursdays we jam in a music room on www.paltalk.com
where we can hear each other play and sing....
Welcome to the wonderful world of mudcat!

Thanks for the tips.

This seems like a great forum.
My computer won't let me cut&paste the link.

Hell, its a brand new Compaq Presario,it should do it.

I'm sure its probably just me.oh well.

Welcome, Grady. Nice job on the music. I see you're from West Virginia, do you know our old blues-playing buddy Bobert? If not, I imagine he'll be along soon to say "hey."

I still can't get the damn link thing to work.

I give up.It shouldn't be that damn hard to do.

Grady, I'm assuming you get the form filled out okay.
  • You enter the URL in the URL box as http://www.somestuff.com (you need to include the http:// part).
  • Enter the text you want to see as blue with an underline in the Link Text box.
  • Click the Create Link button; it produces a new page with a string that you copy.
  • Copy the string by swiping across it with your mouse.
  • When it's completely highlighted, (including the < and > symbols) press Ctrl-C on your keyboard, that will copy it.
  • Then come back to the post you're composing, put the typeing cursor where you want the link, and press Ctrl-V on your keyboard.
Viola! [sic] there will be an active HTML link right there in your post.

Good luck,

      - Mark

I see,its hard to teach an old dawg new tricks, especially when its a mutt like me.

Well, you could just learn to make links by hand -- it isn't hard. You're typing along and you make an angle bracket < and put in the letters a href= and then you paste or type out the URL and put a closing bracket >. Then you type the text you want to appear such as Click here. Then you close the whole thing off with a pair of brackets <> with /a in them.

See the FAQ.

Ain't at all hard once you get the hang of it.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

I also added a photo of me and my 13 month old son,"Stevie Ray Musick" to my Photos page.

Nice to have you here, Grady. I like your website very much, and really wonder how such a young fella got such an old voice. You obviously have worked hard on your style, and it will bear fruit, I am sure.

Love the old cruiser with the speakers!!

All the best,

Mick
