23 Apr 04 - 07:00 AM (#1168839) Subject: RE: Harri Watts Band LizPhilChas From: Hand-Pulled Boy From cowfisH. They had boxes of them with themselves last evening oh don't you know. They should have been more pushy and forced people to buy them. I can vouch for the quality of music on the cd's and will give pleasure I'm sure. There you go Tim, you couldn't have put it better yourself had you been here, which of course you aren't as people would talk and so on. Thanks to cowfisH for adding a little class to the evening, Ted and Sweetypie would have topped it had they decided to play but Jack Daniels is not cheap so I understand. harriWatts band would like to thank all that turned up to listen to the evening and we can confirm that the cheque's in the post. Our next outing is on the Wiviera on the 2nd of May. Take your thermals. |

05 May 04 - 11:02 AM (#1178513) Subject: RE: Harri Watts Band LizPhilChas From: Sttaw Legend Sweetpea, "I'm moving up in the world...I take polo lessons now" is it the outer paper wrapper you have a problem with, or the inner silver foil. Are you collecting the holes ? |
05 May 04 - 01:18 PM (#1178675) Subject: RE: Harri Watts Band LizPhilChas From: s6k actually i was wondering that too. i find the inner silver foil is a bloody pain sometimes. but just stick with it, the more practise you give it the better you will become. I also find helpful, that if you slide the tube out of the paper wrapper whilst submerged still in the foil, and then open the foil. then wrap the polos back up and slide the tube back down the paper it lessens the difficulty encountered later. of course you must take care not to let the polos all escape all over the floor whilst you take the foil apart, and also be careful not to damage the wrapper when sliding it back in. of course, you may think there is little point sliding the tube back into the wrapper, but i think it gives a sense of achievement knowing you are eating polos from a packet in its entire wrapper, rather than a flimsy bit of foil. if you are having problems with the outer wrapper, this is a problem. it is quite easy to tear as it is made of less dense stuff than the foil, just take your thumb and forefinger and rip a little tear at the top just enough to get the desired amount of polos out, and then continue like this until the packet has been digested. Dont forget to put your empty polo wrapper into a bin when you have finished, and make sure you have 27p for your next packet. Practise makes perfect and i think once you got the hang of it, you will never fear buying polos again. hope this helps. |
05 May 04 - 10:01 PM (#1179046) Subject: RE: Harri Watts Band LizPhilChas From: Hand-Pulled Boy I'll stick to Trebor mints. I think my horse prefers them as well. Withernsea or Roysten Vasey? There wasn't a lot of difference so we pretended to be local people and chatted about caravans all night and walking hand in hand along the beach thus tracing Sweetypie's steps from her past. |
