26 Apr 04 - 12:26 PM (#1171358) Subject: RE: Vin Garbutt in Boscombe From: breezy I'll be supporting the burgeoning Sue Pugh who'll be accompanied by Dave Lambert. Sue is from Wimborne Dorset and well worth a gig Search Sue Pugh Not many catters there - yet, Theys shy. This part of Dorset is a hotbed of folk activity, but not a lot of people know that. Now where's the folking gig |
26 Apr 04 - 01:18 PM (#1171415) Subject: RE: Vin Garbutt in Boscombe From: The Unicorn Man You can't go and see him cause Martin from Barton and some of The Folkaholicks are doing a Breezy Spotlight in St Albans on the same day. |
26 Apr 04 - 07:35 PM (#1171766) Subject: RE: Vin Garbutt in Boscombe From: breezy I'm not seeing him. But its a good reason. Its turning into a reunion of the Crypt folk club in Woolwich, S E London from the days of 1969 which they tell me I used to run!! I remember turning down Richard Digance when he asked for a gig. The art of management is in the ability to delegate. George Papavgeris is the host, so, dont be late, all spotters are asked to arrive by 7.30, Les was there even earlier as was Last, Connolley and all the others and they'll be there for you. And stay sober, sorry ,that for guru when she comes, like tomorrow for Dan Mckinnon at the Duke, and tonight he was in good voice at Herga for an excellent evening with the Threlfalls, Edwards and Ellison. |

04 May 04 - 02:57 PM (#1177632) Subject: Breezy in Bournemouth From: 3cross There was this guy at our club in Bournemouth on Sunday supporting Vin Garbutt - name of John Breeze. What a fantastic performer! I hadn't heard him play for 35 years. I wouldn't want to leave it quite that long again. Actually it'd be great to have him back soon playing at the Shenanigans Club again. Then there's the seagulls down here - I hear they love a good busker. |
