28 Apr 04 - 11:11 PM (#1173721) Subject: Irish Session in the Big Apple? From: GUEST,fidhealer I will be in New York City the week of June 1 - 7 and was wondering where a good Irish session might be. My 'home base' will be W. side Central Park area. My boyfriend and I plan on walking or subing to many of our destinations so I was interested in places near to Central Park if possible. We will have access to a car and will also be visiting Long Island one of the days. Any great Irish pubs with music??? |

A great session is Sat. night at O"Niels in the 40's on third ave, Tuesday night Swifts on 4th street off Third Ave, and a nice session with beginers to masters would be Dempseys on 2nd ave and 4th st. tuesday. It's an eariler session than Swifts starting at 8pm, so you can go to both. Feel free to email me for a phone number, InOBU@aol.com, if you want a native guide, I'm not playing much this spring, I am an uileann piper with a fractured right hand... Hello to inOBU who I know from the Dempsey's session - I hope your hand is better soon. |
