I had an enormous amount of fun and it was great to see so many of you there. So many songs, sung with such feeling. It doesn't often happen that way. Once again - you were all brilliant - thank you. |

Glad it went well though. Don't forget our (my 60th Birthday celebration) BBQ on 6th of June - one week after Richard Bridge's BBQ. |

06 May 04 - 05:17 PM (#1179725) Subject: RE: Big thanks from The Barden of England From: Richard Bridge Well, I didn't get assaulted for dedicating "Nelson's Blood" to "our new found friends", and they did join in the chorus, and they did not break my guitar, so I think so...but the guitarist did not turn up for the Sunday session with his own guitar as promised, nor at the Canopus on the Tuesday...so perhaps not...or perhaps they cannot remember. Incidentally, the Canopus was hilarious as big growly Simon (for whom I had been doing emergency "milk" deliveries over the weekend with carryouts of Nelson's blood, since he was grounded after his operation) had sore wobbly bits after said operation, and if he hit the wrong key the resonance was apparently very uncomfortable... He even offered to show the landlady the scar and the sore wobbly bits, but she declined. |
