09 May 04 - 02:30 PM (#1181717) Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Maritime son/Skarpi Iceland. From: GUEST,MCP Jim This site Nova Scotia Kitchen Party also lists it as Son. As also does Windmill Music. When I was looking originally for the song I got a reference to it on a playlist being sung by someone called John Ferguson but the page was unreachable. I've since found a reference this version John Ferguson - After The Ceilidh on a playlist for Radio CJFX, Highland Heart of Nova Scotia. It's possible that e-mailing the radio station for a contact to John Ferguson could get the words. (Searching in general hampered by French maritime son coming up a lot and a book Notes of a Maritime Son (which might have influenced the song, who knows?) Mick |
