BS: In every thread, someone has to be wrong

08 May 04 - 10:50 AM (#1181088)
Subject: BS: In every thread, someone has to be wrong
From: Thomas the Rhymer

Sometimes it's me, but less than some think
That doesnay agdee, on the soothsaying brink
Sometimes it's you, in a fit of compulsion
As a 'hot head' ensue, to reactive revulsion

And sweet anonymity's voice from the dark
Gives the proclivity of wrongness a mark
But really, my friends, is this such a suprize?
For that wrongness depends on the need for disguise

So be well, compatriots, believe in good things
We've all welcomed idiots, and untied their strings
And a thread isn't bread, but tis good food for thought
So instead let's be fed, for the wrong can be taught!

Wrong, Thomas! In every thread people have different opinions. Of course, sometimes we just get our facts wrong. So i guess you're right and I am wrong.

And some of us say wrong and/or stupid stuff when we're feeling f***ed off with things. I hope when it's me I've been able to apologise/amend later. Not that it ever is me, of course.......

And next someone will start up a thread "In every thread, someone has to be right"; and then there'll be "In every thread, someone has to be left"...

What if it was wrong to boldly go where no man has gone before? Or Spock had reason to be suspicious... or Leutenant Urhura had a really vivid imagination... Or, maybe it was wrong for William to get the most gorgeous girl every single time... after all...

Eay choice here. In this thread it is McGrath who is wrong. While I agree that what he says will probably happen, mentioning it seems to always assure that it will. So on this thread, you are wrong. Period. End. Fine. That's All Folks!

PS....Hawk is fucked up, but he is always fucked up so disregard his postings.

If the people who who said they--or someone else--were wrong were right, then Houston, we have a problem. I think that's right, anyway.

Don't tell me that you and Spaw have actually merged?

And what's the matter Thomas? Can't take a little criticism? Maybe you cannot handle the "responsibility" of starting a "BS" thread.

A little PC karma went down here... I lost transmission when a coupla key drivers got deleated by accident... I was (and am still) wrong. How right of you to say so.

Spawk... a new cleaning agent... double the wrongness, and we'll double the clean!

Them again, I could be wrong...

A man who has not made a mistake has not tried hard enough!

Surely if you try hard enough you get it RIGHT or am I wrong?

If you're wrong then right your wrong. Righting your wrong can't make your wrong right but can make you right.... rightly or wrongly. Is that right or wrong?

Two wrongs may not make a right, but it's a fact that three lefts do.

From: Donuel

Two wrongs don't make a right, in fact two rights send you in the opposite direction.
But take three lefts and you have gone right, that can be seen by satilite detection.
The right may indeed be too wrong for the left.
In government the left have been left out from the rest.
The right yells Just Us
while the left scream Justice
Its none of your bidness that we know all about you.
Control is not for the many but reserved for the few.
It should come as no surprise
that wrongness and rightness come in disguise.
Words that are opposite now sound much the same.
Its one for the money and two for the game.
If you ever feel lost
just look at the cost
and you will remember
who you should honor
and who you should shame.

It certainly is not that I am stubborn in my opinions. It is only that I have sufficient patience to wait for the rest of you to realize I was right all along.

You will all learn... ... someday.

John - it's easy to imagine a room full of people who all think the way you've just described.

Can you? And if so, how would you imagine the scenario would proceed?

Of course, if you do not agree with the "Mudcat Accepted Position" then you are automaticly wrong and you will be accused of many nasty things. Free thought is not encouraged in these environs. Just see the discussion on Johnny Cash to confirm that. And if you don't wish to join and take a fake name for yourself then you are positively, definately, totally wrong on every occasion...even when you ar right.
