16 May 04 - 10:06 AM (#1186741) Subject: HUDDERSFIELD -New Session From: Raggytash Wenesday 19th will see the 4th of a new session at The Shoulder of Mutton, Lockwood, Huddersfield. Primarily a song session anything goes, (unlike some of the diddly diddly sessions we are tolerant of all forms of expression ;-)!) we have our own resident poet Mr Keith Jenkinson, a classical guitarist (who's fingers I am jealous of!) and the landlord, Paul, provides a warm friendly welcome in an intimate venue. Come and join us for the evening |

20 May 04 - 04:17 AM (#1189351) Subject: RE: HUDDERSFIELD -New Session From: GUEST,Raggytash If it's every fotnight next will be the 2nd June, then 16th, then 30th by my reckoning. However Paul (landlord) is contemplating at some point if it really takes off a move to once a week. Last night singers were thin on the ground, due in part to half of the previous weeks singers being Huddersfield Town supporters who'd gone to watch the play-off semi final, but just a well cos they would'nt have got in for audience. At one point I backed a very good opera singer singing Summertime, thats a first and very surreal. Again a very good night and Nick the Classical guitarist proved he can still do it with a good deal of beer inside him ........... still jealous of those fingers .... Grrrrr |
