Lyr Req: Meet Me Somewhere In Your Dreams

I was wondering if there are more words to this song:
Softly tonight, when the world is at rest,
Meet me somewhere in your dreams,
Where lovers find only true happiness,
Meet me somewhere in your dreams,
    We'll take a trip on memory's ship,
    sailing down life's golden streams,
I still have you and our old rendezvous,
Meet me somewhere in your dreams.

That's all I've ever heard, and I was wondering if that's the chorus, and the verses have been lost, or if it's a verse, are there more verses. Thanks for your help.

Hi, Steve - Google tells me that Doc Watson recorded a song called "Meet Me Somewhere In Your Dreams" on his Then and Now LP, which is now available as a CD. Don't know for sure if that's the one, but I'll bet it is.

Joe, that's the one, but it's only the verse that I printed above.

I believe GEne Autry may have also recorded this.

MEET ME SOMEWHERE IN YOUR DREAMS was performed by Pat Donohue, Garrison Keillor, The Guys All-Star Shoe Band, and Marty Muse on A Prairie Home Companion, Saturday, June 6, 1998.

The archived radio program is supposed to be playable—see this page—but the links didn't work for me.

OK, the link works now, and I was able to listen to the song on the Prairie Home Companion archive. They only sing the one verse, exactly what you have posted, RangerSteve.

In the show credits it says: "w/m: Cook (as performed by Doc Watson)" Elsewhere I found it attributed to "S. Cook."

I sing it as a jam tune. I have a second verse. It's just a minor variation on the first.

"While the moon's shining and everything's still
Meet me somewhere in your dreams.
Where our heart's longings are always fulfilled,
Meet me somewhere in your dreams."

We'll take a trip. . . (same as first verse)
