Here ya go: one of the only blues songs sung by a male which is sympathetic to the plight of the battered woman. Also one of my favorites by Elmore.

IT HURTS ME TOO
Elmore James

You say you was hurtin'
You almost lost your mind
The man you love
He hurts you all the time

Chorus:
But when things go wrong
So wrong with you
It hurts me too.

You love him more
When you should love him less.
Why lick up behind him,
And take his mess?

(chorus)

He loves another woman,
Yes I love you.
But you love him
And stick to him like glue

(chorus)

Well he better leave you,
Or you better put him down,
No, I won't stand
To see you pushed around

(chorus)

P.S. - I'm not sure Elmore wrote this song - seems to me he didn't - the tape I have it on doesn't have any credits at all. In fact there's one song on it I'm pretty sure doesn't even feature Elmore even though the tape is called "the great Elmore James" (Phoenix PHX334)

It's a Tampa Red song (b. Hudson Woodbridge aka Whittaker). The song is credited to Whittaker on my James version, and I've got a version by Tampa Red, with Big Maceo Merriweather on piano.
