BS: Maturity in communication.

From: Georgiansilver

On a few non-Music threads lately I have seen some examples of worse than poor communication, where different personalities resort to name calling, some of which has been so destructive.
Personally I feel that such behaviour is a sign of someones inadequacy in communication.
Please folks, if you want to get a point across...fine....if you want to opt out of a thread..fine....if you can't think of anything further to say which is at least intellegent...then the intellegent thing to do is ...back off!!!!
The inner anger in some people is so apparent...but....your anxieties and anger will cause you ill health in the long run so should you be in discussion forums anyway.
Relax...
Be Blessed.

You read what G/S had put guest so why did you resort to calling him a twit? It is people like you he is talking about obviously.

What a poe-faced stuck-up pillock G/S sounds - this thread needs Spaw, McFat, Raggytash to inject som real angst - and then Breezy to hijack it - and then Avril Betts to offer to seduce him !

A short life, but merry.

Everything in its place, Dave. Fun and games and hitting each other over the head with a pigs bladder is one thing - but serious nastiness is something different from that, and when it spreads it messes up the place badly.

Mc GofH. Thanks for your support...A bit of fun name calling never went amiss but the nastiness...especially on "Iraquis beheading Americans" amongst others, was just unnecessary and hurtful...not to me personally but others.
Be Blessed.

some people only come on here to disrupt. I can see people who try to discuss sensibly but others who spend too much time stirring trouble and being nasty to others. Treat others as you want to be treated yourself. p'raps you have always been treated that way and don't know any better. Ahhh well.

I was trying to help him make his point with humorous sarcasm for heaven's sake! Get a sense of humour!
If I wanted to insult him, I wouldn't have called him a "twit".

G.S, with the best will in the world, people lose their tempers here much as they do in real life.....no, it's not especially admirable but it is the sour with the sweet that can be the variety of opinion and knowledge to be gained in reading these threads.Of course, the other option is to not read them :)

we're not dealing with 10 year olds here - we're dealing with adults chosing to act like 10 year old (and I'm guilty as charged).

Pointing out to adults that they're acting immature is just silly and a waste of time. Most have made a decision to act the way they act or cannot act differently.

This is akin to the LA riots "Can't we all just get a long?"

I just hope this is suggested in some extreme form of optimisim istead of the weird polyanna mindset of some people who really think things are that simple.

have a nice day.
