06 Jun 04 - 10:36 PM (#1201637) Subject: RE: BS: Shriek 2: like it or not? From: GUEST,TIA Liked it a lot. I have three girls (6,9,11) - took them, and they thought it was hilarious, and they didn't get even 1/4 of the site gags and cultural references that were aimed at us fogeys. Very clever, very funny, I may be shallow as hell, but we (6,9,11, and fiftyish) loved it. |

07 Jun 04 - 12:09 PM (#1202051) Subject: RE: BS: Shriek 2: like it or not? From: GUEST,Art Thieme I enjoyed it---all but the middle which is where I fell asleep for 20 minutes. And the hairball scene is great---. Watching a hairball come up has always been for me like watching some singer/songwriters making a song. ;-) Art Thieme |

07 Jun 04 - 12:54 PM (#1202094) Subject: RE: BS: Shriek 2: like it or not? From: MAG It got really good reviews so I went. The basic plot (meeting the new in-laWS) is nothing new; it really is all the movie references that make it for a movie buff. and it conntinues with the criticism of Disney (in the dream factory exposee). |
07 Jun 04 - 01:12 PM (#1202114) Subject: RE: BS: Shriek 2: like it or not? From: GUEST I loved it. But why do American comedies always have to have farting in them? |

07 Jun 04 - 04:29 PM (#1202231) Subject: RE: BS: Shriek 2: like it or not? From: TS Brilliant!...saw it last night...laughed my ass off!...liked the First one better...but saw some of the "adult humour" as being better...Puss made the movie!...and Pinnochio in a thong...excellent! |
07 Jun 04 - 05:06 PM (#1202249) Subject: RE: BS: Shriek 2: like it or not? From: GUEST,Desdemona I enjoyed it mightily; admittedly, the dizzying number of pop cultural allusions aimed squarely at the adult set might be seen as a bit off-putting, but overall it was great fun, I liked it, my kids dubbed it "awesome", and we'll very likely give it a re-view as well. As with the 1st one, I think it would make an excellent date movie, too! And of course, the voice cast was truly stellar---Antonio Banderas' interpretation of Puss in Boots as sort of a cros between Zorro & Inigo Montoya was brilliant, and Jennifer Saunders as the Fairy Godmother was worth the price of admission: two thumbs up!
