As from Friday, 11th June the Gainsborough Folk Club will be held at the Drovers' Call pub on Lea Road, Gainsborough. Hope to see old and new friends.

Personally, a big thank you to Mo for suggesting the Drovers might have a room available. It was a great discovery. Thanks again Mo. Best wishes. Be Blessed, Mike.

I will be there, Travelling Audience!

If you say it is a big venue, will you be booking folk artists, like the ones at Market Rasen? Cara, for example? When I listened to Cara live at Market Rasen on June 4th, they were sensational and should spread their wings to the rest of the world, even if it is to a small historic town like Gainsborough.

This Friday Ray, 11th June, and yes it'll be fortnightly as before. It's dead easy to find. Hope to see you there.

Its this Friday Ray. The only thing thats changed is the venue as I understand it.
It runs on opposite Fridays to Market Rasen Folk Club.

Ray, I should also have said turn right at the Trent Bridge, go under two railway bridges, and it's on the right about 200 yards after the 2nd railway bridge.

What's the beer like? Is this the folk club that used to be at the Globe?

Villan - it's a bridge, it crosses the River Trent, therefore it's the Trent Bridge. Note - the Trent Bridge, not Trent Bridge.

Sweetfia - there's never been a venue in Gainsborough called the Globe. Are you confusing us with somewhere else (maybe Guisborough??)?

Strollin' - Gotcha. And there was me thinking we might get some cricket as well with strawberries and cream :-)
