I have now completely reformatted my computer. Lost a bunch of stuff (of course)and still have to re enter my e mail addys (but at least I have them) so I think I'm back in contact. I bloody hope so!!!! This has been a royal pain! That woman is never welcome in my house again! This time, I really didn't do it! I was over 5,000 miles away.

you need a 'lock' program to limit what ANYONE can do on your 'puter. Anything from limiting access to certain directories to a password to get online....

Set yourself up as administrator and use a password to get in. Anyone else, set them up as a secondary user without administrative privileges. They need a password also. There is a guest setting in XP that has limited use. This is good because it also means that viruses or mal-ware can't write to the registry if a non-administrator is using the machine. So this means you should have a second setup for yourself and only go in as administrator when you need to.
