I'm going to be in Bournemouth nest week for the week. Are there any decent Irish/Trad/Bluegrass sessions I could go to? I play guitar.

Thanks,

Chris

Breezy started a thread in February asking about folk clubs around Bournemouth, which produced links to http://www.focsle.org.uk/SCoFF/ and Shenanigans - but not really sessions....

There's an irish session at the Bent Brief in Southampton on a Thursday night if you're prepared to travel. Don't know of anything in B'mouth.

JudeL,

My wife is a delegate. I'm going along for the ride.

There is an Irish session every Tuesday eve at the Coventry Arms pub approx 2 miles west of Wimborne on the A31 (direction Dorchester). Probably 9 miles from Bournemoth centre.

I may see you down there then as I'm there for the week as part of my region's news-sheet team. I might even wear my mudcat badge (if I remember to pack it ! )

Thanks everyone. I'll hopefully be at the Coventry Arms tonight.

Cheers
