Any of the usual suspects attending this weekend of music, drinking and general debauching?

We'll be there of course, Mick. And I've just heard that a certain 'sensitive' Derbyshire singer, 'Whispering' Chris Mullins will attend. He wants to know if there's owt happening on the Friday afternoon?

Les, we will be going up on Friday morn to camp up at Hodgsens.

I dare say there will be a drop ar two supped in one or two of the hostelries in bev on the afternoon - I will give him a ring. The venerable Roger De Bev is hoping to start an improptu sess in the back room of the "Sun Inn" on the night.Start time I do not know.

I'm going to Middlewich this year. It's a much better line-up in terms of the main acts and there are many more sessions etc. Sorry Beverley but Middlewich wins hands down!

jOhn, and here I was, hoping to keep you all in suspence for the rest of the week.

It must have been the same hairstyles between el Ted & Mando'Mally that gave it away.

Or was it that they sound the same when they play?

Well done jOhn, 1st prize!

I'll be there - in fact I am already.

I wasn't sure whether Les & Maggie were doing anything in Hodgsons on Friday or not. Anyway, the usual suspects from the Sun will be gathering in the back room at the Sun from about 7.30ish - but you can get there and start earlier if you wish. I'll be in Leeds until 5pm anyway so I won't get out to play until after 7. Jim will be around from mid afternoon so he might be tempted in earlier.

Actually. we're not that sure what we're doing in Hodgson's on Friday. We've been asked to run the Friday sing thing, but we don't have a starting time or anything.

But as Maggie has to work in the afternoon, and I'm completely free (or at least relatively inexpensive) what say we meet up then - Mr and Mrs Flags, the Sensitive One and the Sensitette, South Yorkshire's least favourite Scotsman, and anybody else who wants to help put the world to rights with the aid of alcohol (I'll have a large alcoholade, please). Just name the pub!

Presuming Ian is the landlord, doesn't he normally have things under control, why the odd beer situation coming upto a festival, other pubs will have beer wont they

If you haven't got a festival programme yet, they can be picked up in the tourist information centre. However, the pubs participating in the fringe (Sun, Oddies etc) also have copies - price £1.

That would explain why the Foresters was so quiet last night for my last ever gig with PTH, Linda. I cried when Nikki, Andy and I played Abbeyfeale for the last time. Really. Had to turn around and gather myself together for a few minutes before we played the next song. Had tears streaming down my face. Hey ho.

What about sessions tomorrow afternoon, folks? I could quite do with a few toons and maybe a song etc.
Or shall I just go to the usual pubs tomorrow early pm and listen for musical sounds coming from within?
