Great idea to hold a dance Vill, our floors too small and bumpy.

Yeah Martin is a good one, did you get the Dan Mckinnon CD?

Gosh darn it, won't be able to get along to this one! One of my favourite voices, his singing sounds like a mixture of Champagne & Chocolate!!! Enjoy your evening in Snorbens - perhaps he'll sing 'Where Ravens Feed'....

Breezy, could you put in a good word for my spotlight on Sunday sometime during the evening please? Cheers.....

"He sounds very good". I hope to tell you he sounds good! I had the privilege of seeing, hearing and meeting Martyn in person here in the USA (in Arkansas!) a few years ago. There is none better. His voice is fantastic, good guitar, and personality plus. You are in for a treat. I wish I could be there, but it would be a long hike and an even longer swim. A very nice guy and an enormous talent.

Hello Lynne, look forward to your presence.
If you keep on turning up we'll have to consider you for our resident's list.
No extra privileges but the chance to do a compulsory spotlight.
Have a good week.

Heard of Tudor delegation (5+) coming up to Snorbans for it. The Frostman also threatened to arrive with at least a couple of extras from Norway visiting. Vanessa and yours truly will be there nice and early too for a chat with Martyn and Dan.

Really looking forward to tonight...

Corker - and absolute corker of an evening. Martyn at his best gave us 90 minutes of cracking songs, including some of his newest ones intended for the next album (soon, Martyn, soon!). I was blubbing quietly in the corner (he has that effect on me, with his wonderful voice), but I saw a few misty eyes round the room.

Once more, the floorspots are showing the strength the club has built over the years both in residents and frequent visitors: Clive and Sue Carey, Lynne Heraud, Chris Flegg, Steve Last and Christine Connolley all delighted us with a variety of sounds from trad to contemp, not to mention the Birthday Boy himself.

Ah, did I forget to mention that it was Breezy's NNNth birthday? Well, we surprised him (and embarassed him, no easy feat) with one of Christine's stunning creations (and a cake). And he paid us back with "Swallow's Wing" and "Stilts" (the latter with yours truly, including all the latest "moves" - The Shadows? Ptui!)

And of course, to cap it all for me, GREECE BEAT FRANCE at Euro 2004... But then, it was no more than I expected - see my post above this.
