A music buddy of mine sent me some cassettes of Hank Williams
Tribute songs (some very rare) he had collected through the years...

And 'I'm Sorry For You My Friend'
DUET: Our voices rang as one so loud and clear.

SPOKEN:
I didn't have to turn my head
To hear the next words that Hank said
"Let's sing together - 'First Fall Of Snow'."
SUNG:
And we sang it just as sad
As on the record of him I had
SPOKEN:
Then he touched my arm and said he had to go.

Then the people stood and cheered
As Hank's spirit disappeared
That night will live with me forever more.

HeyaGene, I just listened to the audio file you sent to Joe and me. Thanks a bunch. It is a wonderufl old song. I esp. enjoy it having just watched a great documentary on Hank on PBS, recently.
