29 Jun 04 - 02:42 PM (#1216436) Subject: C.Sharp Ho, Friday July 2 PA System PROB From: greg stephens Small problem arising. Exploring other routes, but just on the off chance, anybody got an available PA system for a Boat Band gig? at Cecil Sharp House, Regents Park Road, Friday evening, July 2. We are playing as a trio, guitar, accordion, fiddle. Five channels, three vocals, two instruments is all we need. We could bring mics and stands, but we cant bring the rest, transport probs. And the organisers PA people have got a prob too. So if anyone can help, get in touch. Money available. PM me if you can help. A few replies to the thread would be great, to keep it floating up near the top. Thanks a million. Sorry to be using Mudcat for a little technical problem, but it needs solving fast. |

From: greg stephens Dave: thank for that, but the organisers of the gig have told me they cant access their normal PA source (or any other, which seems a bit odd), hence the problem. And as they regularly do things in C Sharp Ho, I think they must have failed in that direction. So I am trying to sort it myself. many thanks to all for offers of help. |

That would explain why this gig is a bit disorganised, and the PA wasnt arranged. We only got booked about 6 weeks ago. Probaly the F Aces were doing it and had to pull out, but they are still up on a website somewhere. |

From: greg stephens Just to make clear, in case anyone fancies coming to see us: this is a File Gumbo gig, which is a cajun dance club. So we will be playing twosteps, waltzes and blues all night. Dont expect the English tunes, seasongs or whatever. That is what you get at the more general interest gigs. |
