I have been asked if I would mention that the fabulous Cloudstreet are playing the RED DEER in SHEFFIELD on July 10th 2004 starting at 8.30pm supported by Dave Whittaker.

PM myself or MCFAT if you want tickets

Sue

If you haven't seen 'em yet you have missed out and they're leaving for Aus in October. Ask 'em to do Briar and the Rose for me and Steve.

...and King Willy, and Fiddleship, and Violet Sarah, and Green Man, and the Diggin's Oh, and... the buggers have such a great repertoire, and a wonderful sound. If you miss them, you'll regret it.

Cloudstreet, John and Nicole gave us a brilliant night on Monday at Stockport folkclub. Superb harmonies and repertoire not least of which was John singing a new song based on the tune "My Way" extolling the virtues of the camper van they'll have to sell before they return to Australia. Don't miss any chance to see and hear them

Saw 'em at Beds last night, and I have to say all those excalamtions hyperbolical are entirely justified (and so not hyperbolical at all). They are very entertaining not only when they sing, but when they're not singing as well; smashing people (even if they didn't like Walsall market!)

BTW, do tell Nicole that "cut" is a perfectly respectable word for "canal"; it was used by the engineers who built them, and often appears on their maps.
