06 Jul 04 - 08:31 PM (#1220289) Subject: RE: Cloudstreet at the Red Deer From: treaties1 Cloudstreet, John and Nicole gave us a brilliant night on Monday at Stockport folkclub. Superb harmonies and repertoire not least of which was John singing a new song based on the tune "My Way" extolling the virtues of the camper van they'll have to sell before they return to Australia. Don't miss any chance to see and hear them |

16 Jul 04 - 04:12 AM (#1226746) Subject: RE: Cloudstreet at the Red Deer From: Steve Parkes Saw 'em at Beds last night, and I have to say all those excalamtions hyperbolical are entirely justified (and so not hyperbolical at all). They are very entertaining not only when they sing, but when they're not singing as well; smashing people (even if they didn't like Walsall market!) BTW, do tell Nicole that "cut" is a perfectly respectable word for "canal"; it was used by the engineers who built them, and often appears on their maps. Steve |
