Warwick Folk Festival. Best Sessions

I'm going to be spending next weekend in Birmingham. Won't have much time to come out to Warwick unfortunately but might be able to manage one afternoon or evening. Can anyone recommend a good session where I could just turn up to sing and play. Many thanks

You will miss the "Mad Dog Workshop" on the campsite - seek out Sheffield City Morris people.

Best regards,

I'm planning to go to the lunchtime pub singaround session on Saturday in - I think, the Rose and Crown. It's about as far away as you can get from the main school site when you take the festival bus..... but if you want to play continuously in a session rather than wait to sing I think there'll be music sessions in other pubs.

We're often to be found at the Bowling Green or the Zetland. Both of these places have beer gardens and if the weather is nice (as it will be!) they are lovely places to sing and play outdoors. Of course the definition of a 'best session' is probably one that doesn't have me singing or playing in it!
