This man has a unique style, a little like David Grier, (consummate crosspicking) but really a style and tone all his own. I did some Googling, and found out all about him, obviously he is a major name on the bluegrass scene, but he is a new name to me. Has anybody out there seen him play live, furthermore has anybody bought his instructional DVD ? He seems to have made only one solo CD, ("Studebaker") which I shall be ordering forthwith. I thought my days of being excited listening to guitar players were over ... |

Check him out as member of the great bluegrass group Lonesome River Band. Saw them play Merlefest two years back and and he's a killer live...much more dynamic and inventive than on his album. pjc |
