A member has a membername, such as "Little Hawk" or "jOhn from Hull", and logs in with a secret code. A member can send private messages to another member, and is also eligible to reserve a future room at the NFCFTTS for whenever they slip into total incoherency. |

From: Bill D it means technically that Mudcat has not set a cookie to allow a person to be 'recognized' when they sign on...there are certain things therefore they can't access...like private messages. Max & Jeff just named this 'guest' when they created the special services a few years ago. Some do this for a reason, some because than can't set cookies at work...etc... some simply refuse to be identified in ANY way, even by an anonymous name. |

This is usually considered a very cowardly practice and shows complete shallowness of character because they do not have the nerve to speak up and attack someone in character. In other words, they are fakes and phonies both in and out of identity. |
