It has two buttons I cannot figure out. One has a drawing of a house, the other shows some dollar bills. The second one is supposed to help convert other currency to dollars, but how? We thought the house might mean "store," but it doesn't seem to do that, either before or after pressing a number. Maybe it means calculate the mortgage? After we puzzled over this, my husband noticed (after several years) that his laptop from work has a little house on it. What can it mean? |

Could it perform a function similar to going to the homepage of a Web browser? Perhaps if one frequently uses specific formulas or preset functions it allows the user to call up a screen with the formulae already loaded so all he has to do is plug in the values. Or something like that. Just a thought. |

It's a two-storey house with a front door in the center, a barge board, and a chimney. Couldn't be anything but a house. Brucie: there is no name on the calculator, so can't contact the maker. Funny, I thought there would be lots of people with these buttons on their calculators. (I tend to hear about new technology late in the game. Just yesterday I asked the DH what TiVo is.) |
