BS: Guest Getaway

I think it would be great if all the guests could schedule their own get together. They could sit around with a bunch of other anonymous folks, talk about threads they started, people they pissed off, you know, just good clean guest folkin' around. One of the guests needs to step forward surriptitiously and take a lead in the planning. I bet lots of folks would lose thier cookie to attend such an event.

And when they say " Who's round is it?". We can say we don't know.

And when someone likes an idea he can say "Great idea!! Who's idea was that"?" with similar results...no sources, no acknowledgments, no responsibility --- why it would be just like Heaven!!

I suppose bags over the head would be the standard dress? ....naaawww, they could tell where voices were coming from....hmmm....maybe just an intercom system, with voice disguisers built in so no one could even identify gender. Cozy and aloof, just as it was meant to be.

I've also been voting for Nobody for President since 1980.

I've also appeared regularly over the years on "The Millionaire" and "What's My Line" and of course, everyone's favorite "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" as one of it's recurring guests.

Here is a hint:

[As the musicians park their camper by a river and set up camp, we hear musical chirps from a synthesizer that are meant to be tweeting birds.]
Servo: Syntho-birds.
Crow: Hey, it's a Casio forest.
Joel: They parked next to a data stream.

You see, that's the problem with nobody posting, and nobody running for president. How is a reasonable person supposed to be able to tell the above nobodies apart?

I mean, if one of those nobodies would just call themselves "Nobody Somebody" we could actually carry on a decent conversation.

But all these nobodies, some with a .com address, some with a .net address, some with flags waving in the breeze, some with Wavy Gravy, how the hell is a reasonable person to deal with this rudeness?

Because that is what this is all about, you know. Decency. A sense of community.

I'm not ever, ever, ever again going to post to another thread started by a nobody. I'm only going to post to a thread started by a nobody if somebody else does it first, but ONLY to say what a jerk nobody is for being nobody.

Narrator: Many families throughout the country observe the custom of saying Grace at mealtime.
Crow [as Father]: Please, God, take me now…

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Father passes a food-laden plate to Daughter.]
Narrator: They converse pleasantly while Dad serves.
Mike [as Daughter]: No, I- I'll just have Saltines.
Narrator: I said "pleasantly", for that is the keynote at dinnertime. It is not only good manners, but good sense.
Crow [as Narrator]: Emotions are for ethnic people.
Narrator: Pleasant, unemotional conversation helps digestion.
Servo [as Narrator]: I can't stress "unemotional" enough.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Servo [as Narrator]: A violent argument erupts over whose day was more pleasant.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Narrator: Don't monopolize the conversation and go on and on without stopping. Nothing destroys the charm of a meal more quickly.
Mike [as Narrator]: … than having a personality.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Narrator: Don't make unkind comparisons about your stand[ard of] living. The dinner table is no place for discontent. It makes Dad and Mother uncomfortable and unhappy.
Crow [as Narrator]: … and they already dislike you enough.
Narrator: When the dinner hour at home is treated with a certain amount of graciousness and ceremony, it can be memorable. There is no family so poor but that the evening meal can be eaten in an atmosphere of warmth and gentleness.
Servo [as Narrator]: … and control and repression.

Just like dinner with my special Mudcat family.
