Lyr Req: chansons de bienvenue

My school will be welcoming a cultural ambassador from France in a few weeks. I would like to teach my children a simple "welcome" song in her honor. Any suggestions?

Allison

Several people here have cited http://www.paroles.net as a good source for French lyrics, but I couldn't get the site to come up for me just now.

Here's a bunch of songs that have "bienvenue" in the title, from allmusic. I have no idea whether any of them is suitable for your purpose. The number is the number of different recordings that allmusic lists for each title. By following the links you can sometimes find sound samples.

Allison, I have a copy of Oak Publications 'French Folksongs' (or similar title) which has dots, chords plus French and English lyrics. If you need one of these let me know. I can't lay my hands on it this very instant, but can notate anything you may need - if it's in there.
I'll post the index if you require it.

Regards, John
