01 Sep 04 - 05:56 PM (#1261994) Subject: RE: BS: Dave James has laryngitis From: PoppaGator Too many guys named David James! I went to college with this guy, and always expect to encounter references to him, because he seems to have developed his talents so seriously over the intervening years. He was the first American to win an "All-Ireland" hammered dulcimer competiton, and he's taken that title more than once. About a year ago, someone named David James came from out of town somewhere to play at one of our local Irish Pubs. I went, hoping to see "my" D.J. for the first time in ages, but it was someone else. Now, when I saw this thread title, once again I hoped to learn about my long-lost buddy -- but no! |
