From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull Hello, Ive just got a £100 pound fine for driving in the conjestion charge zone, in a car that i don't have, [what is really a motorbike I owned 20 years ago], i've never even bloody been to that London place, they can kiss my arce if they think i am paying that! there is a number on it to ring them [0845 603 45 45] i will email them, and tel them to ring me, why should i pay money to sort this shit out. ken livinstongs fault. anyway there is a picture of a car, and the number plate is for a motorbike, useless gits should have checked before sending fines out. i bet big companys etc, [with big fleets etc], would just pay it. total bloddy con. |

01 Sep 04 - 06:11 PM (#1262015) Subject: RE: BS: Transport For London, Rubbish! From: Liz the Squeak Sounds like someone ripped off your number plate to dodge insurance and fines. It happens. If you can prove you were nowhere near the congestion zone and you don't own the vehicle, then you should be able to appeal. Good luck. LTS |

From: Dave the Gnome If you can prove you were nowhere near the congestion zone and you don't own the vehicle, then you should be able to appeal. Surely this defeats the whole principle of English Laws 'Innocent until proven guilty' thing doesn't it? Shouldn't it be up to them to prove that it is your vehicle and you were driving it? I'd be very tempted to put in a counter claim saying I have a picture of Ken Livingstone assaulting me and say it is up to him to prove he was not there! Cheers Dave the Gnome (Good morning, Straw Legend; Good morning, Super Ted; Good morning John boy...) |

From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull Morning Dave. theres a number to ring, but why should I waste my time and money on it, when i'm totally innocent, I just read the letter again, and apparently I can't appeal against it until theyve issued an enforcement notice, which will be in 28 days. bunch of crap if you ask me! |

03 Sep 04 - 11:19 AM (#1263482) Subject: RE: BS: Transport For London, Rubbish! From: Dave Bryant jOhn - if you had notified the DLVC (by filling in and sending back the appropriate part of the registration document) when you sold/disposed of the motorbike, you wouldn't still be the registered owner. Presumably then, you wouldn't have received the fine notice. P.S. If they do find you guilty, drag you down here, and lock you up in The Tower of London, or Wormwood Scrubs, - all the London catters will come and visit you and smuggle files and hacksaws into you - concealed in take-away curry containers. |

03 Sep 04 - 12:15 PM (#1263525) Subject: RE: BS: Transport For London, Rubbish! From: Little Hawk I have it on good authority that jOhn from Hull went careening through the conjestion charge zone in London on the back of an antiquated steam-powered vehicle of some sort which was not equipped with modern safety devices, lacked an up to date license plate, and had offensive slogans painted on its sides, such as "Shag the Bloody Princess of Wales!" and "Ken Livingston's a stupid git!". He furthermore ran a red light and made an obscene gesture at an old lady as he ran over her Dandy Dinmont. Yes, I have this on very good authority indeed. You'd never guess. Mrs Olive Whatnoll told me all about it. :-) If you ask me, this jOhn from Hull bloke is in big trouble and should consider emigrating to Iceland without delay. |
