HI All

Nothing to do this weekend? Why not visit beautiful Salem County, New Jersey, and attend the Delaware Valley Bluegrass Festival. Its at the fairgrounds on route 40 as you get close to Woodstown. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
I will be there (with my wife and the Woodstown ambulance squad - not playing) so look for a guy with a Mudcat Tee Shirt. It will probably be me.
Hope to see lots of you there.
Mark

Point of information: Salem County NJ is in the far southwest corner of the state, fairly close to Philadelphia and even closer to Wilmington, Delaware.

Glad to see you're dong you civic duty, Mark -- don't work too hard!

Sounds like a great event! I believe that it is illegal to bring a five string banjo in to Philadephia, so most of my bluegrass loving homeys will be there--not me though, as I have long since moved away--Will there be barbeque?

MarkS,

Sounds like fun. Haven't been down to Salem County in ages. I'll see if the sibling is interested. Any shade near the music? I can't take much sun.

Looks like a straight shot on 40 from the NJ end of the Delaware Memorial Bridge (295). Should be pretty easy to get to for anybody in the tristate area. Too bad I'm stuck here in Honolulu!

Aloha,
Mark

Rara Avis, as I recall from the days when the Brandywine Festival was located at Salem, there's a covered area where the stage is and it's a fairly big area, otherwise there's no shade at all.
