harriWattsband will be performing/in attendance at the following fun factories:

Tuesday 14 September - Kingstown Radio - "1350 Khz AM" - 10.00am

Friday 24 September - Oddfellows Arms - Beverley

(special guest Super Ted on tambourine & comb)

TBC September - X Factor - ITV1 (repeated later on ITV2)

Have we got that 'X-factor'? Remember it's singing only unless we can disguise our instruments as doggies to keep Sharon happy.

Sharon stated she would like to inspect our instruments, then proceeded to discuss doggies and fashion.

On course again Otley weekend Tedward. I wish these people would consult before they decidididid the dates.....

Can you also bring comb and Izal bog paper on the 24th and play on "The WInd is Blowing My Way"?

Is SuperTed wanting to join the band? His dress sense will need to be brought into line and his other habbits tempered. Does he play flamenco style bass guitar?

anyway=I wish they'd stop putting that green stuff in my curry, i don;t like it, i been working there 10 years, get my staff meal everyday, and say "no corryander, i don't like it", still put it in,
i'm sure there all bluddy thick!
either that, or there trying to piss me off.

Fresh 'erbs are good for you. Corihander helps break down the smell of garlic on one's breath and it's less painful than a cricket bat over your head.

jOhn if you contact the Curry Ship Human Resource Department I feel sure they will have a Diversity and Inclusion Policy. Discuss the issue with your Diversity and Inclusion representative and inform them that you no longer want coriander including in your curry. Hopefully this will resolve the matter.

As a last resort you can contact the European Court of Human Rights or Withernsea. Good luck.

i think harriwatts band have the X-Factor

what with the sensuous vocals of HPB, and the flowing locks of Sttaw Legend, there is not a man nor woman who can resist

harriwatts band were born long AFTER rush were playing! the fountain of youth runs through them, you cannot fool me

Subject: RE: harriWattsband X Factor not
From: Hand-Pulled Boy

We don't like to rush about. If we did we'd be famous by now. However, sensuous is a good desciption although 'highly intelligent' would have been better, thus attracting a different type of groupie.

"the fountain of youth runs through them"

That CD cover seems to be working a treat hpb.

s6k, have you got the strad yet?

Beast, have you had a Rush of blood from your last victim?

10 Sep 04 - 08:14 AM (#1268492)
Subject: RE: harriWattsband X Factor not
From: The Beast of Farlington

I wish...

The only flaw in my argument about harriWattsband being Rush is that there are only two of you and three of them

And your songs are shorter

And you are not Canadian

And you are older

But then, that's what disguise is all about isn't it?

We are classed as 'Mature Youngsters' who run out of words easily but can pose with the best of them with a mid-atlantic accent, and hete-sexual overtones cunningly disguised as musicians.

One day Withernsea will be under water due to global warming, coastal errosion, connerbation (!) as it gets absorbed into the Nederlands or Germany and a backlash from the Spurn conservation society for allowing scotsmen to holiday there once a year (it's only protected on one side). Rubbish is probably too harsh a word as you can't blame the town, it's the people who live there that make it what it is.

And then conserve it. A bit like jam which can be referred to as conserve although it's usually red which may confuse. Confused conserve of Cottingham, or conserve the Cottingham confused. It's quite simple really although Jam is made all over the country. I know that Withernsea is being overlooked here but that's because it will soon be history anyway dependant on the severity of the waves whereas Cottingham is the biggest village in the world according to the current women's institute who, I'm assured, make gallons of sloppy, red jam or similar. I hope this clears things up. PS jam became really popular when CD's were introduced and were spread with the stuff to prove that they would still play. Unfortunately it never worked on the old style LP's and, to be honest, it was a stupid idea putting it on CD's as you could never get the CD drawer open again once it had set, meaning you had to listen to the same songs over and over again. jOhn, it's been nice talking to you.

Simon Cowl just didn't understand him.
I've just done a quick search, the guy is called Robert Unwin.
On every X Factor Forum I saw, The Chicken Bloke was the main topic of conversation, folk are saying how good he was.
Just proves that Simon Cowl doesn't know shit about public opinion, I reckon if Chicken Bloke made a single, it could be Xmas Number 1.

Big fat zero for ROBERT UNWIN in Doncaster...you think ther'd be one? I had to further choose if Doncaster was in North or North West... I chose North because I don't know.
I'll try it under North West.

Right, there are 16 Robert Unwins in the country...eliminated the southeners, Scottish and two male nurses. The others have not put up notes, so emailed the lot, and now feel like a complete stalker! Will let you know if he materialises.

I think he had a lispe. It wasn't a chicken factory it was a coal mine. Dave, if I'd known he was on and that you wouldn'd be watching it then I would have got someone to tape it for you. I could have even taped it myself as I have a tape recorder and tapes and a remote control that tells it what to do.

The night will belong to Crack Town. harriWatts are mearly hangers on. They are not in the same class as CT (short for Crack Town). hWb (short for harriWatts band) are 'has beens', singing songs about love and not really addressing the real issues in life like beer and curries and stuff. God bless CT (Crack Town).

Very Nice, Very Nice!!!!

the new songs are good Harri, and it was generally a great night... no buggers stood crowding in the middle of the room blocking the view!!! hoorah.

i thank you Sttaw for delivering the "package", no strings attatched.

Ted and Sweetfia had to leave very early, ted needed to paint at least two nails before the night was over, and Fia had to go and contemplate a divorce from her husband.

Harri Watts played a couple of new songs, and they were good! but i aint saying more, cos you should have bean there yourself! so there.

Cracktown were nutters!! ive never seen them before, theyre mad! my mother said at the end of the evening... now youll have to go get your violin from near those loonies!

i regret that i forgot to bring my CD to be autographed, but there is still hope with the November Lamp gig, and hopefully, maybe a Queens in between...! ( no rhyme intended)

anyway, too many words, must get to bed

Thank you young man. I hope CT got their just monitory rewards at the end of the evening. They are a high energy band who are guided by a vague script that only they can decipher and deserve all of the accolades they ultimately get. How they memorise their song monologues is beyond me but I'm glad they do because they really are funny and, of course beautifully played by two excellent musicians. They didn't play many of their more famous tunes from their infamous 1st CD so try to get to see them again and hopefully you'll hear their delightful 'East Riding Yorkshire Ripper' along with . . . . . . Take your mother too. It'll be an education, although you may end up being 'grounded', totally protected from the evils rantings of such deviants! On to other things; it was good to see Ted and the new look Sophia. Were you sat on her good side or her bad side? I didn't like to ask. She can be a bit volatile (in a nice way you understand)! You don't think she's listening do you? I'm glad to say hWb are progressing quite nicely at a snail's pace which suits us fine as we're not really built for rushing about. Still trying varied material to stop people falling asleep. Glad to hear you're a fan. It's always nice to get off the mark! So until our next outing . . . . . . . . PS we'll be at the Lamp again on November, 17th and here and there beforehand.

OOPS!

At the risk of soundin like a shambling arse kisser, the dirty Den Watts band do not big themselves up enuff. Sure Dave has the face of a jaded pornstar and Derek looks a bit gay, but the music is silky smooth. Grovelling will get you no where. We know our limitations and no amount of hipe will change that. Gay and jaded are probably apt and we may alter our name to the 'horneyWatts band before too long. Every day I'm asked 'Why are you called Hand-Pulled Boy? and I always profess to a likeing of real ale'. They just walk away muttering 'Wanker'! Of course it hurts, but this is a shit business. God, why can't people spell 'Derrick' right? It's just another kick in the teeth. I hope we meet again, goodbye cruel world.
