Can anyone help with the words of a shanty?? The first line goes "In our galiot we're bound to go" Part of the chorus sounds like " Row, rock your ass, (I assume this is the English ass,i.e. a donkey, and not the American one,an arse!)

Are you sure that's not: "To old Callao we're bound to go"? with chorus "Oh roll, rock your bars" or "Oh roll, rock your ass"?, in which case it's a version of the Saltpetre Shanty. There's a version in this thread: Saltpetre Shanty about 2/3 of way through the posts

There's another thread at ADD LYR Saltpeter Shanty. Verses 2-4 of the 1st version essentially as given in Hugill's Shanties From The Seven Seas (with puntas misprinted for putas in verse 2).
