If it's the same song Alex means, it's actually called "Sound the Pibroch"

SOUND THE PIBROCH

1. Sound the pibroch loud and high,
Frae John o' Groats to Isle o' Skye,
Let a' the clans their slogan cry –
Rise and follow Charlie.

CHORUS:
Tha tighin fodham, fodham, fodham (x3)
Rise and follow Charlie

2. See the small devoted band,
By dark Loch Shiel have ta'en their stand,
And proudly vow with heart and hand
To fight for Royal Charlie.

3. Frae every hill and every glen
Are gathering fast the loyal men,
They grasp their dirks and shout again
"Hurrah for Royal Charlie!"

4. On dark Culloden's field of gore,
Hark, hark they shout, "Claymore, claymore!"
They bravely fight, what can they more?
They die for Royal Charlie.

5. No more we'll see such deeds again,
Deserted is each Highland glen,
And lonely cairns are o'er the men
Who fought and died for Charlie.

Let me know if this was what you were looking for. You can hear it on the Corries album called "Sound the Pibroch".

I have a song on a 45 recorded by Ireland's Morrisseys back in 1980 called "Charlie's Song" (tribute to Irish Prime Minister Charles Haughey) and the tag line on the chorus is "We'll rise and follow Charlie". Could this be the one you seek?

About 20 years ago National Geographics released an LP , a sampler of Scottish songs and I belive you'll find it on that if you can find it, I'm sure it was sung by Archie Fisher. If you do find it, the rest of the songs are all gems.

An interesting little bit to end. The bit about Charlie Haughey (former Taoiseach of Ireland) he tried to introduce a rod licence (angling licence for trout anglers. The catch cry was "Rise and swallow Charlie!" Noel P.
