It states it is original to Fiddlin' John Carson but this version was based on Uncle Dave Macon's version. There are two verses on the Gum Tree Canoe CD, but I wondered if anyone has more, or can tell me where to find the earlier versions of the song. Thanks for any help you can provide. |
