BS: What gall...redux

For some reason my only access to my original thread is "read only." So just wanted to let everybody know I'm back home again. Laprascopic surgery did the trick, a 3-holer. I'm still in a fair amount of pain but one cant expect to lose an organ without some "discomfort." I was given the stones...whoa...they are huge, the size of marbles. Ugly suckers too, and except for the one promised to a (somewhat weird, in this particular case) friend, in the trash. Still on clear fluids, but I'm assuming I'll be able to eat again soon. Again, thanks for all the input and support. I expect to have a guitar back in my lap in no time.
I can't tell what happened, either. The other thread looked OK when I looked at it. Maybe there was bad HTML in a message and it locked your browser. Since you started this new thread, I closed the old one and crosslinked them. Hope that's OK.

Welcome back home, dear Mudlark!! So glad it went okay. For a while you are justified in adopting a holier-than-thou attitude, should you wish to do so! Even without the gall, you earned it!

Glad it went smoothly, Nancy.
I had the same procedure a year ago.
(I've had dental work that was more painful.)
Had 1 large stone the size of a Titlest, apparently.
The recovery was a piece of cake.
It felt like you'd feel if you'd done 50 situps, whilst being completely out of shape.
Stiff and a little sore but nothing that could keep me from playing guitar. I was home 3 hours after waking up in the recovery.

The hit of morphine following surgery (which I really didn't need but being a product of the 60s couldn't resist when offered), and the Percosets for 3 days upon release almost made it ALL, worthwhile.
8 days after surgery I resumed my 3-4 mile walks, per day.
No complications, touch wood, since.
I'm sure it'll be the same for you!

Welcome back. Why did you throw away the gall stones? We could have auctioned them on Mudcat.

get some rest.

Glad everything went well. You'll be surprised at how quickly you do recover. Meanwhile, get someone to pamper you for a little while at least.
