Having missed last years S&A due to illness, I'm looking forward to this coming weekend and catching up with other catters.

Jon will be there but I have to work and can't get up. I'll get him to bring the pics of Alex at Wareham for you.

Should be a great weekend.
I'll try and get my act together (me! together!!!) and bring the pics I took at The Wail, including the lovely one of 'Granny' Sarah and Alex fast asleep on the grass.
48 hours and counting.

Any other catters going? (Which is what I meant to ask in the first place!)

I'm not going this year, Bob. Instead, I'm booked into the Concertinas at Witney Weekend. Now that would not be every uaccompanied singer's choice I must admit - but when you play as well as sing ...
Anyway, I am sure that you, Jude, MGAS and all my other Mudcat, Wareham Wail and Middle Bar singing friends will cope without me!
Enjoy!
"Come fill up your glasses ...!"
Alan

Just rang to say that I can't make it to Whittlebury this year ....shame I was looking forward to it but back problems make driving impossible and sitting on those bales would be extremely painful.

Good to catch up with those that I did.
A great weekend and all credit to Geoff and his family who pulled out all the stops and gave us just what we needed, the Song and Ale as good as ever.
It's strange that there is so little cross over of people between Wareham and Whittlebury, any ideas as to why?

Not having been to either all I would say is the reputation of Whittlebury for being very bullish about not having any instruments. Maybe it has changed but guitar cases take up a lot of room they don't have.

A massive "WELL DONE" to the Wesley familly for taking over Song&ale without any visible changes.

See you next year

Bob, I would have loved to have been at Whittlebury this year but circumstanses precluded me from arranging for it.
Itseems strang to travel all the way to Dorset for wareham and then not be able to make a singers festival which is just over thirty miles away. cllr

Another Great Thanks to Jeff and family for a great weekend it was a superb bash for their first effort at running it. May the next and future ones be at least as good if not better

We also had a marvellous time. As was said on Sunday and above the management change was truly seamless. There were a surprising number of regulars absent, but the numbers held up because of so many Whittlebury virgins who just fitted in smoothly.

Yes the Wesley family did a great job, but I think a special mention is justified for the magnificent contribution by the younger members of the family to the catering.
