22 Sep 04 - 01:08 PM (#1278390) Subject: RE: Tech: CD tracks in Internet From: GUEST,MMario You can use a program such a CDEX to rip the tracks - then post them as wav files or as mp3 files. I use a simple wav editor to truncate the tracks to a single verse plus chorus - might add a fade in or fade out - then convert the wav to mp3. |

MMario, For MP3s your ISP doesn't need to support audio - anyone can just download them and play them. It's only streaming audio that needs server support. Anahata |
22 Sep 04 - 01:44 PM (#1278431) Subject: RE: Tech: CD tracks in Internet From: GUEST,MMario Some ISP's/webhosts can (and do) block the downloading of audio files such as wav, midi or mp3 from sites on their servers. believe me. And there *are* server settings necessary to allow them to play from a link. If theyaren't blocked then yes - you could download the file and then play it locally - but people complain about having to do that. |
22 Sep 04 - 02:35 PM (#1278483) Subject: RE: Tech: CD tracks in Internet From: George Papavgeris Follow treewind's steps (1) and (2). Then go to CDNET's artists web page . Register yourself, then upload the MP3s to their site following their instructions. It IS easy - once you have converted your music to MP3s. |
