Hi all!
What are some of your favorite songs in Public Domain that are good for female voice? Thanks for any suggestions! KT

If you try to perform in the Public Domain these days, the Police are likely to come along and cart you off.

(See the busking threads!)

I'm looking at a book called Drive Dull Care Away just now, so it makes me think of the title song, which is a beautiful one for women (or anybody) to sing. You'll find it in the Digital Tradition here (click)

Thanks for the link, Joe. I've never heard that one before. Looks like another one to add to my homework assignments!

Áine's Mudcat Songbook has loads of songs which you are allowed to perform even though they are not in the public domain.

And there are a lot that have been offered to there that haven't shown up yet...

Actually, I was thinking of filling out a recording project with some public domain works. I have several options but was just wondering about people's favorites.

Thanks for the link, Bert. I'll have a look at Aine's songbook.
