This thread excited me, then I realised it's not refering ro the tiny village of St Albans, just out of Sydney (which, incidently holds my favourite folk fest). And there's certainly no spotlight club there...oh well, have a nice time over there, I'll be at the session at 'the harp' (where the chairs are quite serious) on Sunday, a long way from my St Albans and even further from your St Albans.
goodnight to your morning

Not in Sydney,,,,however, I lived in Canberra for 8 years and they certainly have a suburb named Barton there! (which, I'm sure contained a martin or 2, perhaps you have a doppelganger or dreitlegangeren in Australia!)

? over El G

but all present on Friday at the Duke of Marlborough for Marilyn Middleton who is absolutly fantastic, originally from Chicago witha hell of a voice and transcends folk, blues, gospel and jazz.

The CD is is indeed rather wonderful.
Expect strong singing, fine guitar playing and unbelievable harmonica playing.

You might even be able to expect us...

Nobody else referred to MM-P here. Anahata referred to Chris' CD, and therefore his gig on Sunday.

Ah, that's what happens when you hijack your own thread to talk about Friday's club...;-) Especially when you have already opened a separate thread on MM-P's gig.

Had to happen sooner or later (he he).

It's getting to that time of year again El G.   The multi-dimensional reality drift is setting in. The mother ship must be back in our sector of the galaxy checking up on him.

The downside is that Breezy goes a bit haywire while he's dowloading and being re-programmed, the upside is that your last CD launch is going to get broadcast to the far reaches of the universe.....or at least Breezy's view of the proceedings.

Breezy,

Suggest you keep away from anything emitting an electro-magnetic field for a while.

Something appears to be getting scrambled.

Well more scrambled than usual.

I need to point out that Graham's name is Pike and not Brown as in my original post. Grahame Brown is someone I work with in my day job and, to my knowledge he cannot play the harmonica, not as well a Graham Pike at any rate

I would like to say in my defence, that it was very early in morning when I made the post

Pardon - do you have a dodgy keyboard, Guest?

Or is it something much more sinister and interesting?
