Unfortunately, I will not be there. I have caught a bug off my daughter, who has been off school for 3 days this week. I am sure it will be a good evening for all of you though.

I really enjoyed tonight. Pity that Lucy and Paul are off to Uni once more...shall miss them greatly. Nice to see some new faces and great to see Gaucho here at last.

Best wishes. Mike.

Once again a great evenings entertainment, friendly atmosphere and loads of talent on show. Thanks Mike & Sue.

A really nice relaxed evening - just what Mike and I needed. Thank you all for being so good! (Not sure about Gaucho's family though, if his Auntie is anything to go by!)

Good to see more new faces at the club. Another good night of entertainment! Congrats to Mr. & Mrs Sooz and Georgiansilver for getting their songs in the top ten of The Lincolnshire Song Contest. See you at Spilsby on the 14th.

Sitting here in Minnesota USA, I'm intrigued with the talk about the Gainsborough Folk Club. I served my apprenticeship at Marshalls from '64 to '68 and I started the folk club along with some of the guys from the Gainsborough male voice choir. We started in the Horse and Groom and then moved to the White Hart. My name is Michael Bonner, anyone remember me?

We have a committee meeting tonight, Michael, I'll ask everyone if they remember you. (I'm sure that someone will!)

Yes Mike, remember you well - in fact I've put some stuff on another recent thread you posted to concerning the first Gainsborough Folk Club, and our mutual pal Mike Whyte.

I was one of Ted Taylor's lads too, along with Nick Raven, Graham Cater etc. etc. Great days at Marshall's - they've knocked most of it down now to make way for another bloody shopping centre. Ah well, that's progress for you?

John B.

Hi Mike....See "Spencer Bohren,29th September" thread. Do you go to any Folk Clubs where you are?
