He and his father have run web banjo instruction for free for years, and he is a generous, openhanded (though sometimes irascible) teacher and propagandist for the banjo, and old time music in general. He is also a Zen devotee, and I assume Tao too. I have done no more than a quick look at the book on his site, but I have heard wonderful things about it from those who have the hard copy book. I only wish he would mention his sources/recordings of the transcriptions and encourage the reader to listen to develop the ear. I know people who learn soley by transcriptions and get locked into that method. -Greg |

I should also add that some of my books have been adapted to work with a braille display.
