Perhaps Rachel is hoping us lot can provide the music while you eat

She's probably knocking up a minstrel gallery this weekend, above the bar

Back from Banbury complete with nasty cold :-(((

Hope to be able to sing tomorrow, but if it's really soggy I might have to cry off & go to bed with a hot toddy after work.

I'll keep my fingers crossed as I've been looking forward to hearing Mary & Anahata again - and coming back to visit Barton of course!!

Not so sure about the imagery around me and Guru's shoes, but I realy enjoyed last night, despite the challenges of being in the bar. Mary and Anahata were superb. I can see at least a couple of the songs they performed being sung by Chris and I in the not too distant future. Thanks Martin.

A very pleasant evening, despite the mindless drivel emanating from the speakers in the other bar and the waitresses flying back and forth through the room. Somehow it didn't seem to matter as we all just got on with enjoying the music. Smashing songs from Steve too, and by the way Mary's always very happy for others to take the songs she's unearthed and help push them back into circulation. Do mention where they came from, though, as we like to do.

Also good to see Theo "Mr. Unicorn" Thomas there - but as he lives all of 200 yards away from the pub that's a bit of a no-brainer for him!

Anahata

Many thanks to everybody for Monday night - I really enjoyed it all

It was a shame support was so low - the middle bar did seem an overly aggressive venue - but I still thought more people would come

The music and songs from everyone were brilliant - I don't understand why people would rather stay at home and watch television; and see things like a woman who has slept with a footballer, fiddle with a pigs willy

Life is very strange

You seemed tetchy Martin - hope I haven't upset you - many apologies if I have

I can see the benefits in using the back room

No it was not you Ross (as if you could upset me) It was the noise from the other bar, the kitchen and the cooks etc. Still see you soon.
