Lyr Req: Walls of Troy (House Band)

There are a few words I just can't seem to work out so can anyone help?! (If anyone knows the guitar chords too, I would be forever endebted!)
This is a song from my childhood, I grew up listening to The House Band and this is my favourite of their songs.

Cheers in advance

Muppitz x

There's a rather nice version of "Walls of Troy" on the album "With the Friends I Love Best" done by some obscure but rather good band called "Out of the Rain."

Of which radriano was a founding member. Contact him for CDs, right?
It's a nice album. Worth having. *unsolicited testimonial*

I also have both Terry Conway's original tune (in major) and the House Band version (in minor) as MIDI files if wanted. It is unfortunate that this song doesn't go out of date.
Blessings,
Barbara

That's the bad boy Sorcha, thank you!

Barbara, when you say you have midi files, what would I need to obtain those from you? (Sorry for beign a bit dim, but my technical knowledge is ok, but not brilliant!)

Well, I could either post them here in the Mudcat MIDIs or if you PM me and give me your email address there (you don't want to do it in public because spammers pick it up and then you get even more Vi*gra ads)and I send you an email with the MIDI as an attached file. In most computers these days you can just click on the file and a music player will open and you will hear the melody (one note at a time only; no harmony)play on your computer.
If we post them here, the same process happens, only you click on them in the Mudcat MIDIs.
Blessings,
Barbara

I was going to plug the Out of the Rain version of this as soon as I saw the thread, but radriano beat me to it -- Richard, you are getting better at shameless self-promotion! Seriously, it is the first version of this song I heard and well worth listening to (Warning: thread creep: Pick up all of the Out of the Rain recordings while you are at it: the band had a gift for harmony singing, good choice of songs, a remarkable mandolin player who was a fine songwriter in the bargain, particularly apt at setting poems to music, and at least a couple of very fine voices.).
