I've been aquiring audio archives in MP3 format of the Dr. Demento radio shows through a group I belong to on Yahoo and I recently received a show with this very song on it. I plan to edit the song from the show and when it's completed I'd be happy to share it via email with any of you who posted here. I don't know how large it will be. I performed it twice a day for two weeks each summer when I played with the Sadie Green Sales Ragtime Jug Band at the Knoebel's Park in Elysberg PA. I don't know where Tim and David learned this song. I found it was better to ask no questions. They sang slightly different lyrics but it was a real crowd pleaser. I have always associated it with those novelty tunes my father used to sing in the car. I remember "Lena is the Queena Palestina, Just Because She Plays the Concertina" and "Did You Ever Hear Pete Go Tweet Tweet Tweet on His Piccolo" Let's see you google those. Mike |

Brings up a very clean and printable copy. Page One - thought I had it in the collection but NOPE.....who could forget that Camel's face. Page two a nice 2/4 key of F.
Desperately need to tune the piano - but this is worth honky-tonky around with until the tuner arrives.
