18 Oct 04 - 07:20 PM (#1300129) Subject: Lincoln unplugged 18th Oct 2004 From: Georgiansilver Tonight, Trtavelling Audience and myself attended the Drill Hall in Lincoln for a night of "Lincoln Unplugged"....I have to say we were very impressed by some of the performances and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a variety of live music...Folk, Blues and much more. Tonight there was even a Hurdy Gurdy man who can play many mediaeval instruments and songs...some of which are humourous......what a night. Best wishes, Mike. |

All welcome, whether performing or not, and it's FREE! There's also a bar (always a bonus, though it's not free...). While we're here, can we let you know about the Drill Hall Unplanned night (an 'arts' open mic night) on Monday 1st Nov, again free of charge, and anyone is welcome to come and read from a poem or a book, re-enact a scene from a play, sing a song or try out something original and new! Enjoyed Monday night as a "tester" but loyalty draws me back to the Folk Club. Best wishes. |
