BS: Quick Japanese translation required!

Any Japanese-speaking Catters out there? Can you help me out with this please? It's for a kind of bet -- no money, just my reputation as a smart-alec at stake! I have to write a haiku summing up James Joyce's Ulyssess in Japanese!

Here's my English version:
A day in the life,
As a stream of consciousness,
Of Leopold Bloom.

Easy-peasy ... so far!

Steve

BTW, I shall give full credit to the translator: I don't hold with plagiarism!

Nice try, Giok! It will do in Roman letters if Kana isn't available.

Babelfish's alternate version: Leopold の花の意識の流れとして生命の日。

Well Wifried that's what it said when I did it, somehow it got transmogrified into the gobbledegook I posted. Still I'm not sure if I don't like it better than the Japanese version, as it's got a few more letters I recognise, and I'm particularly fond of dipthongs. :~)

Hmmm ... Wilfried, on IE that comes out as "Leopold", and on Netscape as "Leopold ????????????????". Houston, we've got a problem!

It'll depend on what fonts you have available on your PC.

Babelfish translates "Leopold Bloom" into "Leopold blossom."

Here's my translation, but it doesn't have any literary merit.

Inochi no hi,
Reoporudo Burumu no
Ishiki no nagare.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Masato! Mine doesn't have any literary merit either, so that's no problem. If you want to see where it went, it will be at the Open University Book Club (properly attributed) sometime later tonight or tomorrow. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
