Heck, I have a copy of the book of the ORIGINAL cartoons by Trudeau, the ones that appeared in the Yale paper. My response is, "So?" Mark Slackmeyer was known back then as "Megaphone Mark", BD was BD, Boopsie was Boopsie, etc. A bit more of an innocent era, I think. |

I remember that the star on B.D.'s helmet was originally a "Y." I was interested in the comment that quoted General Giap as saying in his book that John Kerry helped the Vietcong and North Vietnamese win the war. Right below that was a comment from someone who actually owned a copy of the book...and that quote was nowhere to be found. The origin of the spurious quote, according to that person, was Oliver North. Hitler was right...if you tell a big enough lie, people will believe it.
