Unfortunately I haven't found any lyrics so far. Perhaps this message can bring any change. I discovered the song on the cd "Celtic Chill" along with some other great songs. Recently I obtained the lyrics of "Cailín na nUrla Donn" (which is also on the cd) on this site . I would love to get a hand on the lyrics of the song "Éalaigh Liom" and, if possible, a translation. A version of this song was also found in a manuscript in Co. Meath. In the final stages of [A Hidden Ulster] another manuscript of Seán Ó hAnnáin was located in the John Ryland Library in Manchester, in which [she] found most of the last verse. Seán Ó hAnnáin also gave alternative titles for this song as A Bhríghde Bheag Mhúinte (Wee Modest Biddy) & Bidí Ní Mhaoldúin (Biddy Muldoon)... 'Aingeal' in s.e. Ulster was pronounced as 'íol', thus rhyming here with 'Dia' in the last line. |

"Éalaigh Liom" = Come With Me Pádraigín = Patricia Ní Uallacháin = Houlahan (I think please correct me if Im wrong) Ni is the feminine of Mac Len Graham and Pádraigín Ní Uallacháin are acknowledged as two of the foremost exponents and authorities on the Ulster song tradition in the Irish and English Languages. slan fliss |

As far as I know, she and her husband, Len Graham (another very fine singer) have, at various times, lived both North and South of the Irish border. Regards |
