Mudcatters who know Jon may not be aware that he was rushed into hospital yesterday.
Pip (his mum) posted this news on Jon's folkinfo site here and I am sure she would appreciate your messages of support.

Night Owl and I still miss hearing Jon on HearMe/PalTalk; he makes playing well sound so easy!

Sending all good thoughts and thanks givings for a complete and better-than-ever recovery. I'll hold the stones which you, Pip, and he found and polished and concentrate some good energy through them for you both.

Jon Freeman was the first 'Catter to welcome me here. And he has the sexiest voice and accent I have ever come across. Makes a girl weak in the knees. I too miss HearMe. Get well Jon. Damn it! What is it about 2004 that has so many of us ill? A candle and special prayers for my friend.

First, we overwhelm him with Folkinfo & Mudcat messages, then we fill the room with cards ...

Maybe UK Mudcatters can call him when he is able to receive calls & sing to him - we could take over the hospital!

Thanks again for the kind words. One thing I'd forgot to say before was thanks also for the cards. I must check with the hospital later this week as I know of at least one sent there that didn't arrive before I was discharged...

One good thing for me so far is I've even been out to a pub 2 nights on a row and haven't even fancied anything other than a soft drink. It's not felt anything like a battle of wills - long may that continue.

I'm still here Sinsull. I have not had an alcoholic drink since my admission to hospital although I've been out to a pub a few times. I've got an appointment with NORCAS (a very respected regional service that offers drink and drug counselling) tommorrow morning and an appointment with my GP in the afternoon.

I'm feeling fine and am hoping to get into Norwich for the session tonight although I won't be taking an instrument.

Thanks for asking,

"Thanks for asking" indeed! You damn fool - some of us are worried about you and now that Kendall has Jacqui I am free to concentrate on you. Poor Jon!

Mick is right. This is not going to be easy but take it one day at a time. And sometimes, accept what the experts are telling you at face value. In time, you will be able to see the truth of it. When it is too hard - do it anyway because you are worth the effort and there is a world full of people who need and love you. And Pip deserves the best from you, Jon.
